Our Fuku A2 gyuto is hand forged in small batch quantities using the san-mai style with aogami #2 (blue #2 steel) and iron ku cladding. Aogami #2 steel is known for taking and retaining an incredibly sharp cutting edge, even through extended use.The A2 gyuto keeps a flat profile through the belly of the knife and pulls up just a bit before the tip, allowing for a comfortable push cut or rocking motion. 

The point of balance is at the heel of the blade for maximum comfortable using a pinch grip and finished it with a mesmerizing grind pattern just below the kurouchi finish.

We fit the Fukushima A2 Kurouchi Gyuto with a rosewood burl handle dyed to your color choice. Each handle is made to order and takes about a week to complete, this gyuto is not only built as a jaw-dropper it's guaranteed to become your new go-to workhorse.

      Use and Care

    - Do not attempt to cut, hit or chop frozen products or bones. The blade can chip or break.
    - Hand wash with warm water and towel dry.
    - Use a sharpening stone to maintain the sharpness of the blade.
    - Do not use a dishwasher to clean your knife.
